Beyond Busy: Navigating the Silent Weight of Maternal Burnout

Maybe you’re here because..

  • The "Village" is a ghost: You’re tired of being told it takes a village when your reality is a solo act. You’re the one managing the fevers, the daycare closures, and the endless logistics without a backup plan.

  • The "Default Parent" fatigue: You love your partner, but you’re tired of being the only one who knows the shoe sizes, the birthday party RSVPs, and what’s for dinner. Even when you’re "off," your brain is still working.

  • The Career/Home Split: You’re a high-achiever at work—a lawyer, doctor, or leader—who feels like you're "failing" at home because of your career goals but you’re not fully present at work either, constantly worrying about if you’re doing “enough” for your kids.

  • The High-Functioning Mask: You look completely put-together to the outside world, but inside, you’re doom-scrolling at 2 AM, overanalyzing how you spoke to your kids, and feeling a level of resentment that scares you.

  • The Identity Loss:You’ve become so good at being "Mom" and "Employee or Boss" that you can’t remember the last time you felt like you.

This is not what you pictured motherhood to be like. You’re holding it all together, and you’re exhausted.

From Survival Mode to Thriving: Healing You Not Just the To-Do List

A Partnership Designed for Your Restoration

When I am added to your village, things start to change. Therapy with me is where the "performance" ends and your healing begins. We don’t just talk about your stress; we work to repair the exhaustion that lives in your nervous system. By addressing the root of your burnout, we create a path for you to feel whole again-not just as a mother or a professional, but as a woman who is allowed to rest.

  • Heal the "Always-On" Nervous System: We move beyond "coping" with anxiety to actually calming your internal alarm system.

    • The Result: Moving out of fight-or-flight mode and back into a state of genuine peace.

  • Recover Your Identity: We gently untangle your self-worth from your productivity. You are more than what you do for other people.

    • The Result: Gaining the freedom to remember who you were before the world told you who to be.

  • Mend the Cycle of Resentment: We process the heavy emotions that come with parenting without a village, turning frustration into clear, self-honoring boundaries.

    • The Result: Healthier relationships with your partner, your children, and yourself.

  • Restore Your Internal Reserves: We identify the "leaks" in your energy—the perfectionism, the people-pleasing, and the guilt—and begin the work of plugging them.

    • The Result: Feeling like you have a full tank again, rather than just running on fumes.

  • Find Ease in the Chaos: Healing doesn't mean your life stops being busy; it means you stop being frantic within it.

    • The Result: Navigating your responsibilities from a place of grounded, steady strength.

What’s different with me.

I get the high-achieving mom grind. I work with driven, capable moms—lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and leaders—who look like they have it all together, but feel constantly on edge because they are the entire village. You’re not just managing a career and a family; you’re managing the crushing reality that if you stop, everything stops. I get what that feels like. You’re not broken. You’re simply carrying a load designed for ten people, and you’re doing it with two hands.

Therapy with me isn’t about slowing you down or asking you to "do less" when there’s no one else to do it. It’s about creating practical ways that fit your life so you can thrive without burning out, so your success doesn't come at the cost of your nervous system, your joy, or the connection you have with your children and partner.

My approach is person-centered, collaborative, and deeply practical—because your life is already full and your "support system" might currently just be you. I am not just going to sit and nod. You don’t have time for that, and neither do I-we’re moms. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and depth work to help you:

  • Dismantle the "Village-less" Resentment: Processing the grief of the support you don't have so it stops draining your battery.

  • Quiet the Daycare & Career Guilt: Shifting from "I’m failing them" to "I am providing for them," without the constant internal audit.

  • Master Your Nervous System: Building emotional steadiness that doesn’t disappear when the babysitter cancels or work gets loud.

  • Heal Your Relationships: When you stop operating from a place of "debt" and "deficit," the nature of your connections shifts from reactive friction to collaborative ease.

We won’t just talk about your thoughts; we’ll work with the reality of your schedule and your emotions so you can feel at peace, confident, and steady again. My work is highly individualized. I listen for what’s happening beneath the surface and offer practices you can apply immediately—at work, in the car, and in those quiet moments when the house is finally still. No childcare? No problem-bring baby to our session!

Stop performing your life and start living it. You don’t need a different version of yourself; you need a space where you can finally put down the weight and pressure of "giving the perfect life”. No one needs you to be perfect.

Therapy for Mother’s without a Village

When the village is missing, or not what you had planned, the invisible load of motherhood transforms into a relentless weight of decision fatigue, hyper-vigilance, and a quiet, isolating grief that most people never see. Whether you life far away from family, or are estranged from your family, or your partner is not carrying the load with you, without a safety net, you are forced to be the sole architect of every moment, often leading to a bone-deep burnout and resentment where you feel like you’re performing "okay" while privately drowning in the pressure to hold it all together.

“For you only have shadows when your life’s full of sun”

Hi! I’m Ali

I’m a high-achieving mom, too. I’m raising young kids while juggling a career, a household, and the invisible mental load that never really turns off. You’ll usually find me with an iced coffee in hand (yes, even in the Winter), squeezing in a Peloton ride when I can to move my body, or escaping into a romantasy novel after bedtime (if I don’t fall asleep first). On slower days, I love chasing my four-year-old on his dump truck and watching my one-year-old light up when her brother walks in the room. Equal parts chaos and joy.

Like many working moms, I know what it’s like to look “put together” on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and stretched thin on the inside. I, too, never thought this was what being a mother looked like. I wanted to do it all, and I wanted to do it perfectly- I found out the hard way. I remember thinking “how do I manage everything? Why did I have to do everything? I’m so tired, I just want a break. What have I done- is this what my life has come to”?

And so I built this practice to be that support system for you so you don’t have to feel the way I did. We are navigating an impossible ask. The constant pressure to do everything well- to be present at work, provide for your family, be patient at home, and still somehow take care of yourself…and do it all without this “village” that everyones talking about? Have I mentioned the need to get that body back, too? W.T.F.

My work is rooted in both professional training and lived experience.
You’re not broken or failing—you’re carrying too much.

I help working moms with young children-who don’t have the “village” they expected-move from pressure and overwhelm to calm, connection, and sustainable success at work and at home.
Together, we quiet the fear that your career is costing you connection with your family, heal resentment for doing it all, and build real support that fits your life—so you can feel present at home, confident at work, and deeply certain you are doing enough, doing it well and not doing it alone.

You don’t need fixing. You need support as the woman and mom you already are.

Wondering if I’d be a good fit for your village?
